William J. Downing

The death occurred peacefully at Maplewood Manor on Monday March 27th, 2023 of William Joseph Downing formerly of Peterville in his 79th year. Billy was the only child of the late Katherine( Doucette) and William Downing Sr.

Beloved nephew of Meddie Doucette of Peterville. Dear cousin to Armand Martin, St Peters and St Paul, Christine Cormier, Thompson Road and Shirley Kerchaert of Detroit, Michigan, also by numerous relatives and friends present and retired staff of Maplewood Manor where he resided since July 2003.

Resting at West Prince Funeral Home 522 Thompson Road.

Visiting hours Thursday 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm Funeral mass following at 3 pm St. Simon and St Jude Church, Tignish. Father John Molina as officiant.
