Wilfred "Freddie" Gaudet

The death occurred suddenly at the Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op on Friday January 21, 2022 of Wilfred “Freddie” Gaudet, Tignish aged 89 years.

Beloved husband of first wife Geraldine (Gallien) Gaudet and second wife Edna (Hogan) Bernard-Gaudet.

He was born in Palmer Road on November 22, 1932, the son of the late Peter and Josephine (Arsenault) Gaudet.

Dear father to Paul (Judy), Tignish, Carl, O’Leary, Floyd (Marie), St. Roch, Cathy Corrigan (Eldon Wells), Tignish. He is also survived by the Bernard step-children Gary, Wayne, Floyd and Suzanne.

Loving grandfather to Kris, Scott, Alyson, Jocelyn, Shelley, Amanda, Tyler, Sheldon, Curtis, Nicholas, Vanessa and Melissa. As well as 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is survived by brother Ronald (Olivine), and sister Julia (Bob) Woods both of Summerside.

He was predeceased by parents Peter and Josephine, spouses Geraldine and Edna, son Wayne, brothers Robert, John, sister-in-law Maria, nephews Johnnie and Bobby.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road. Due to Covid restrictions, Funeral mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made directly to Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op or the West Prince Funeral Home Repair Fund would be greatly appreciated.
