Walter Joseph Doucette

The death occurred at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton on Sunday November 15, 2009 of Walter J. Doucette formerly of DeBlois aged 86 years. Veteran of World War 11.

He was born in DeBlois on August 26, 1923, the son of the late Joseph Alexis and Grace (Handrahan) Doucette.

He is survived by sisters Elanor Arsenault, Moncton and Ada Arsenault, Charlottetown and a brother Abby Doucette, Kitchener, Ont.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Grace, sisters Theresa ,Zita, Hilda, Auldine and Marjorie, brothers Chester, Clifford, Patrick, Oswald and Boswell.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Monday 6 - 9 pm and Tuesday from 1- 3 pm. Funeral will be held Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 3:30 pm. Interment in the church cemetery.

Tignish Legion members will hold a service of remembrance at 6:45 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
