Walter J. Pitre

The death occurred ar the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday June 27, 2006 of Walter J. Pitre of Newton and formerly of Tignish Shore aged 64 years. Born Dec. 20, 1941, he was the son of the late Frank and Rosie (Arsenault) Pitre. Dear brother of Doris Bernard, Tignish; Olive Gaudet, Calgary; Marie Doucette, Tignish; Mary Ann (Richard) Nelligan, Tignish; Buddy / Edmond (Brenda) Pitre, St. Felix and Alvin (Florence Ann) Pitre, Tignish Shore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Rosie, brothers Leo and Alyre; a sister Josephine, brothers-in-law Ernest Doucette, Raymond Arsenault, Major Gaudet and a nephew Kevin Doucette. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Wednesday 7-9 pm, Thursday 7-9 pm only and Friday 9-10 am. Funeral Friday with funeral mass at the St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish at 10:30 am. Memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital or the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
