Walter G. Shea

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Friday June 12, 2020 of Walter Gerald Shea, Waterford aged 66 years.

He was born in Alberton on June 27, 1953, the son of the late Gerald and Annie (Broderick) Shea.

He was the loving father of Sarah Brown (Rick) and cherished grandfather of Morgan and Kylie Brown, Hamilton, ON.

He will be lovingly remembered by his nine surviving siblings: Lorraine, Marjorie, Elizabeth, Geraldine, Roy, Ralph, Camilla, Rita and John as well as nephew Lorne.

He was predeceased by parents Gerald and Annie, eight siblings: Kevin, Mary, Alvin, Louis, Norbert, Richard, Marion and Brendan.

Walter was employed at Stelco Steel of Hamilton for 32 years and returned to his childhood roots in 2012 where he quickly developed many friends and neighbors who will miss his wit and personality.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, No public viewing. Private family funeral will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, can be made in his memory, at the Canadian Cancer Society, Charlottetown, would be greatly appreciated.

Interment in the church cemetery.
