Vincent J. Gallant

The death occurred peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Community Hospital, O'Leary on Friday July 27, 2007 of Vincent J. Gallant of Elmsdale aged 61 years. He was born in Puisville on March 13, 1946 the son of the late Joseph and Emily Gallant. He is survived by his estranged wife Stella McCarthy and his special friend Lucille Ellsworth. Loving father of Ann Marie (Garnet) Gallant, Halifax, N.S.; Christine (Ritchie) Ellsworth, St. Edward; Allan (Krista) Gallant, Elmsdale; Donna (Terry) Gallant, Whitby, Ont. and Darrell Gallant, Alberton. Dear grandfather to Jason, Greg, Joey, Damien, Breanna, Mary Francis and Ryley. Brother of Raymond Gallant, O'Leary; Aldona (Peter) Gallant, Piusville, Olive (Paul) Buote, Tignish and Leonard (Sheila) Gallant, Elmsdale. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Emily, sister Bernice Maillet, son Francis in 1985 and a son Stephen in infancy. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 9 - 10:00 am. Funeral will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road Tuesday at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Bloomfield. Memorial donations to the Immaculate Conception Rose Window Restoration Fund or St. Anthony's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
