Rose Marie Richard

The death occurred suddenly in Tignish on July 10, 2026, of Rose Marie Richard, aged 71. Born on June 8, 1955, “Rosie” was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (nee Arsenault) Richard.

Rose will forever be missed by her son Christopher, daughters Sarah and Ashley, and granddaughter Shealynn, whom Rose loved with all her heart.

Lovingly remembered by her siblings Marge (Doug) Coakley of Ontario, Omer (Geraldine) of PEI, and Sandra (Elmer) McRae of Nova Scotia, as well as her In-laws Agnes, Carol, Liz, Judy, and Doug McKenna. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Rose was predeceased by her beloved partner, Leigh Doucette; her parents, George and Elizabeth; and her brothers and sisters, Emile, Edna, Mae, Reginald, Jean, Bernie, Allan, Shirley, Raymond, Kenneth, Danny and Wayne.

When Rose wasn't with family, she could often be found with friends at the local bingo hall.

Her burial, along with the ashes of her late husband Leo Lloyd Doucette, will be held on Thursday July 23rd at 11:30am at St. Simon and St.Jude Cemetery,Tignish PEI.
