Rita Ann Gallant

The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Sunday, December 31, 2006 0f Rita Gallant of Miminegash aged 81 years. Wife of the late George Gallant. She is survived by a special companion Wilbert Wedge of St. Edward. Born in Miminegash on April 21, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte (Gallant) Thibodeau. Dear mother to Joey (Shirley) Perry, West Point and Pauline Todd (Gary) of Miminegash. Loving grandmother to Stephanie Gaudet (Michael), Tignish, Shannon Gaudet, Miminegash, Jesse Todd, Miminegash, Krissy Perry (Jamieson), Palmer Road and Charly Perry, Summerside and great grandmother to Seth Gaudet and Daniel Gavin. She is survived by her sister Auldine Wedge of Miminegash and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Charlotte, husband George, brothers Wilfred and Henry Thibodeau and sisters Agnes Gallant and Mary Butler. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 9-10 am. Funeral Wednesday with funeral mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 10:30 am. Interment in the church cemetery
