Richard F. Nelligan

The death occurred at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton on Thursday April 5, 2018 surrounded by family of Richard F. Nelligan, formerly of Tignish aged 84 years.

Beloved husband of his “little woman” Mary Ann Nelligan, Tignish.

He was born in Souris on August 2, 1933, the son of the late Leo and Grace (Harper) Nelligan.

Dear father to Roy, Diane, Judy Angel (Duncan), Joan Park (Ross) and Wanda.

Step-father to Juanita Arsenault (Joe Doucette), Mark Arsenault, Leona Perry (Robert), Wilma Thibodeau (Robbie), Peggy Arsenault (Mike Gallant), Kenneth Arsenault (Leslie), Sandy Stewart (Gregg) and Lisa Carragher (Joey).

He is also survived by brothers Jimmy (Debbie), Paul (Anne), Billy and sisters Frances Doyle, Mary McPhee, Joan Pollett and brother-in-law Fred LeBlanc.

Also survived by many wonderful grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by parents Grace and Leo, sister Mary LeBlanc, son Paul, sister-in-law Linda (Stanley) Nelligan, brothers-in-law Leroy Doyle and Bernie Pollett.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road for visiting hours Friday evening 6-9 PM.

Funeral will be held Saturday April 7, 2018 at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Fr. Roy Shea Mission Fund would be greatly appreciated.

Interment later in the church cemetery.
