Ralph J. MacKay

The death occurred at the Community Hospital, O'Leary on February 17, 2008 of Ralph MacKay of St. Edward aged 69 years. Beloved husband of Shirley MacKay nee Butler. He was born in Seaview, PEI on Sept. 18, 1938 to the late Keir and Anna (Burns) MacKay. Dear father of Henry MacKay (Donna), Kildare; George MacKay, Honey Harbour, Ont; Reggie MacKay, Kensington and Kimberley MacKay (Dave), Gilford, Ont. Loving grandfather to Jody Lynn and Devin MacKay, Sarah Jane Murphy, Hallie MacKay, Connor and Gavin Costain and step grandchildren Curtis and Kyle Pitre. Great grandfather to Domonic, Jarvis and Patrick. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Norman, William, Robert, Thane, Wayne, Austin, Donald, Esther, Lillian, Goldie, Betty, Iva, and Kathleen. He was predeceased by his parents Keir and Anna and a sister Donna. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 pm for family and 7-9 pm for the public and Thursday from 2-3:30 pm. Funeral will be held Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 4 pm. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Community Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.
