Norma M. Handrahan

The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O’Leary, surrounded by her loving family, of Norma Handrahan, Leoville aged 88 years.

Beloved wife of the late Gerald Handrahan.

She was born in Tignish on January 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Alphonse and Margaret (LeClair) Poirier.

Cherished mother to Roy (Betty Ann) Handrahan, Gary Handrahan, Charlene Handrahan, Ann (Stephen) Hogan and Gail (Nelson) Arsenault. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Bertha Arsenault and special friend Stella Gaudet.

Loving grandmother to Tommy (Mavis), Allan (Wendy), Jamie, Brittany (Kyle), Darcie (Renne) and Christopher; great- grandmother to Anna, Thomas, Tanner, Bronte, Quaid, Jedd, Jude and Lori; great-great grandmother to Walker and Poppy.

She was predeceased by parents Alphonse and Margaret, husband Gerald, daughters Carolyn, Paula, Jennie, great- grandson Kameron, brother in infancy Roy, godmother Dora McCabe and special friend Twila Seymour.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road. Due to Covid-19, no public viewing. Private funeral for family and invited guests will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road.
