Nadine A. Handrahan

The death occurred suddenly on June 18, 2020 at Tignish, P.E.I., of Nadine Agnes Handrahan, in her sixtieth year. Born on January 16, 1961, she was the daughter of Hubert (deceased) and Inez (Gavin) Handrahan.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie; five siblings - Diane, Angus (Bernadine), Lois, Faye (Andre) Hachey and Lisa; three nephews – Benjie (Kathy), James (April) and Father Andrew Handrahan; and one grand-nephew William.

As a teacher at Tignish Elementary School, she touched the lives of many students and parents. She volunteered with West Prince Hospice, and was a regular visitor at Tignish Senior’s Home. She was avid walker and bicyclist, a busy outdoor person with a love of plants and flowers, an organizer who minded the details. She was a friend and mentor to many.

In accordance with covid-19 regulations, a private funeral mass will be held, with Father Andrew officiating. A memorial mass will be announced at a later date.
