Melvin J. Doucette

The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary on Saturday April 28, 2007 of Melvin Doucette of Pleasant View aged 58 years. Beloved husband of Julia Doucette. He was born on May 7, 1948 the son of the late Meddie and Lucy Doucette. He is survived by daughter Annette (Ivan) Elieff, Victoria, B.C. a son Andy (Amber), Summerside and a granddaughter Emily Anne Elizabeth Elieff. Dear brother to Edna (Andrew) Jones, Freddie (the late Joan), Lawrence (Delores), Arthur (Ada), Evelyn (Ronald) Myers all of Pleasant View, Lucille (Francis) Richard.St. Louis and Wilfred (Eileen) of Tignish. He was predeceased by his parents Meddie and Lucy, sister-in-law Joan and nephews Louis, Donald and Ricky. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Monday 2-4pm for family and 7-9 pm for the public and Tuesday from 2-3:30 pm. Funeral will be held Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 4 pm. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary or the Fr. Ellsworth Scholarship Fund would be greatly appreciated.
