Born on March 8th, 1935 in Christoper Cross, Hilda lived a life centered around family. She was a devoted mother and an extrodinary grandmother and great grandmother- known as Grammie and Great-Grammie- a title she wore with pride and joy.
Hilda leaves behind three of her five children; Brian (Bertie), Francine (James) and Helen Marie (Dean), along with her cherished grandchildren; Lindsay, Sean, Lisa, Sheldon, Adam, Leslie, Jordan, Bennett, Issac and Laura. She will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren; Brody, Jessa, Weston, Emily, Cameron, Landon, Wyatt, Cora, Tara, Mason, Griffin, Cullen and Kieran. She is also survived by sister Clare, brother John, and son-in-law Brian.
Hilda was pre-deceased by her parents , Wilbert and Irene Keough, her husband Bennett her daughter Beverly, her daughter Pauline and sonin law Robert; as well as her parents-in-law Anthony and Freda Keefe. She was also pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters, Arnold, Ethel, Winston, Ray, Ralph, Karen and Rose Marie.
Hilda, was bright and quick witted, with a playful laugh. She cherished time with family and loved each of them deeply. While she was many things in her life- devoted daughter, loving mother, loyal friend- her most cherished roles were "Grammie" and "Great-Grammie", and she fulfilled these roles with unmatched love and devotion. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the very heartbeat of her life.
She was also a lover of music and dance. Whether it was a classic tune playing on the radio or live local musicians, she was always the first to tap her toes, hum along and smile from ear to ear. If you really wanted to see her come alive, you'd see her on the dance floor.
