Mary Gertrude Ellsworth

The death occurred suddenly at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 of Mary Gertrude Ellsworth of Nail Pond aged 84 years. Beloved wife of the late Richard Ellsworth. She was born in Skinners Pond on January 8, 1923 to the late Frank and Margaret (Brennan) Ahearn. She resided with her son Wade in Nail Pond. Survived by her children Jean Buote (Ben), St. Roche; Wade, Nail Pond; Roger (Barbara), Stratford; Glen (Kim), Nail Pond and son-in-law Angus MacFadyen, Stratford. Loving grandmother to Bernice Wedge (Louie), Brian (Jeannie), Kevin and Dale (Karrie Ann) Buote, Rodney and Jillian MacFadyen, Lincoln, Belinda, Dallas, Bradley and Carter Ellsworth and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Wilfred and Austin Ahearn of Skinners Pond, brother-in-law Peter Ellsworth (Bertha), Nail Pond, sisters-in-law Laura Kilbride (Kevin), Foxley River and Jean Ellsworth, Tignish. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Margaret, husband Richard, daughter Ruth MacFadyen, granddaughter Brenda MacFadyen and a brother Walter Stephen in infancy. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral will be held Saturday at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish at 10:30 am. Interment will take place later in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. The Tignish CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Friday afternoon at 1:45 pm.
