Diana Gaudet (Wedge) of St. Louis, PE, passed away peacefully in the company of loved ones on August 20, 2025 at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PE.

Mother of Stacy Lanois (Andre) of Brockville, ON and Jason Gaudet of Charlottetown, PE. Survived by siblings, Marie Perry (Leo), Patsy Shea (Francis), Shirley Boulet, Michael Wedge and Charles Wedge (Jay). Diana is also survived by her cherished Grand Children, Hannah Lanois and Nolan Lanois (Sydney). She will always be deeply missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Alyre and Freda Wedge and brother David Wedge. Diana was also pre-deceased by Parent-in-Laws, Belonie and Mary Ann Gaudet (Arsenault), sister-in-law Leona Perry, brother-in-law John Gallant and brother-in-law Leo Gaudet.
Diana was a loving wife to Robert and mother to Stacy and Jason. She adored her grandchildren and was proud to see them grow up to be wonderful adults. She was a quiet woman who did not care for attention. She went about her business without expecting anything for what she did. Her whole life was service to others while working in a nursing home, serving as a member of the Kinettes, Tignish Legion, Miminegash Firemenettes, a Eucharist minister at the Palmer Road church as well as a board member of the West Prince Funeral Coop.
Diana was a devout Catholic who practised her faith without doubt. She found good in everyone and would never say anything about anyone. She was one of a kind, a peaceful, gentle soul with a kind smile for everyone. To her siblings, she was more than a “big sister”, she was their best friend.
Diana could be found regularly reading on her E-Reader, solving puzzles, and especially solving the daily Cryptoquote. She was a great cook and enjoyed watching various cooking shows and the Hallmark Movie Channel.
She was smiling as she drew her last breath. That smile will always be remembered by those who loved her. She was quiet; but, her sense of humour would always catch you off guard. Diana never complained and felt that “life was worth living with whatever you’ve been dealt”. Her whole life was to serve others, with her career at Wellington House Nursing Home and numerous volunteer opportunities.
