Mary Anne Gallant

The death occurred peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton surrounded by her loving family of Mary Anne Gallant formerly of St. Edward aged 91 years. Wife of the late Joseph B. Gallant. She was born in St. Edward on Nov. 7, 1915 to Joseph John and Margaret "Maggie" (Gaudet) Chaisson. Dear mother of Audrey (Allan) Arsenault, St. Edward, May Gallant, Charlottetown, Joe (Barb) Gallant, Howlan, Evelyn (Albert) Whelan, St. Louis, Gerard (Bernadette) Gallant, St. Edward, Edlow (Alice) Gallant, St. Edward, Emile (Cathy) Gallant, Grimsby, Ont., Julie Ramsay, Charlottetown and Joseph Johnny Gallant, Dunstaffnage. Loving grandmother to 31 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Sister to Emile (Rena) Chaisson, St. Edward, Leo Chaisson, St. Edward, Josie (Kenny) McDermid, Charlottetown and a sister-in-law Susie Chaisson, St. Edward. She was predeceased by brothers Emanuel, Alphy, Johnny, Eddie, Alyre and a sister Aldine, sisters-in-law Olive, Beatrice and Sarah, brother-in-law Joseph (Leffie), daughters Anna, Mary and Donna Marie in infancy, grandson J. J. Gallant, great granddaughters Kristen Koughan and McKenna Hardy and great great grandson Colton Leard.. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Monday 12:30-1:30 pm. Funeral Monday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 2 pm. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
