The death occurred peacefully at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary surrounded by family on Wednesday March 27, 2013 of Marguerita Doucette formerly of DeBlois aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Alphy Doucette.
She was born in DeBlois on Sept. 23, 1917, the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Evangeline (Arsenault) Allain.
Loving mother to Leroy (Kathleen) Doucette, DeBlois; Edna (Joe) Martell, S’Side; Velda (Cyrus) Bernard, Tignish Shore; Helen (Roy) McKenna, St. Louis; Ivan (Austina) Doucette, DeBlois; Dennis (Brenda) Doucette, DeBlois; Eileen Doucette, Mill River and Joan Doucette, Caledonia.
Dear sister to Lorraine (Clayton) Boudreau, Fredericton, NB and Frederick (Stella) Allain, DeBlois. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Lillian Allain, Pleasant View, Mildred Allain, S’Side and Alice Allain, DeBlois.
Cherished grandmother to 33 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents Emmanuel and Evangeline, husband Alphy,daughter Ida McInnis, sisters Rita, Dora, Sophie, brothers Joe, Gerard, Francis, grandsons Norman and Robert Moses, granddaughters Shirley and Paulette.
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visitation Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Funeral will be held Monday April 1, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 11 a.m. Celebrant Rev. Jacques Rigaud.
Memorial donations to Fr. Roy Shea or Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
Palmer Road CWL members will hold a prayer service Sunday evening at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment later in the church cemetery.
