The death occurred suddenly at Tignish on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006 of Louis G. McInnis of Tignish aged 71 years. Beloved husband of Marjorie (A'Hearn-MacKey) McInnis. He was born on May 4, 1935 to his parents the late Maxwell and Kathleen (Handrahan) McInnis. Dear father to Bobby (Barbara) Anglo, Tignish and Ivan (Edna), Tignish and loving grandfather to Nicholas, Stephanie, Vanessa, Sarah, Emily, Tina, Tara, Trevor & Scott. He is also survived by stepchildren Karen (Allan) MacLean, Summerside; Gemma MacKey (Stephen), Charlottetown; Leigh (Sandra) MacKey, Summerside and Bernie (Dawn) MacKey, Drayton Valley, Alberta. Brother to Rodney, Anglo-Tignish; Lorna, Falmouth, NS; Edward (Madeline), Trenton, Ont.; Mary (George Camp), St. Albert, Alberta; John (Cathy), Hebron, PEI; Claire, Montreal; Catherine, Whitby, Ont. And Michael, Anglo-Tignish also left to cherish numerous nieces and nephews, his aunt Sr. Irma Handrahan, CND and many close friends who enjoyed many sails on the Northern Bell. He was predeceased by his parents Maxwell in (1987) and Kathleen in (1995), daughter Colleen in (1986), brother Inspector Malcolm (RCMP)in(1982)and a sister Irma (2004). Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visitation Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Saturday from 2-3:30 pm. Funeral Saturday with funeral mass at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Tignish Fire Department would be greatly appreciated.
