LeRoy Joseph Chaisson

The Death occurred peacefully surrounded by family on Jan 17,2024 of Leroy Joseph Chaisson aged 82. Born on the Harper Rd to the late Sylvere and Mary(Doucette) Chaisson.

Lovingly remembered by his sisters , Sr. Joan Marie CND , Sr Lorraine CSM, and Eileen Pendergast.and sisters in law Florence Chaisson and Frances Chaisson and brother in law Wilbert Doucette

Pre deceased by his parents, sisters Margaret and Delores, brothers Fred, Ivan, and Omer, and Brother in law Reg Pendergast.

Lovingly remembered by many neices and nephews, great neices and nephews and Great great neices and nephews.

A man of faith and simplicity of heart. He loved family and nature and had a large vegetable garden for many years. He was generous and made it a point not to speak ill of anyone. He appreciated being invited to family gatherings and savored every bite he took. He would drop hints to Eileen about what might be a good menu for the next time he would be invited. For many years he gave Mom and Dad wonderful care in his gentle manner.

He certainly was a man of prayer praying the rosary daily and attending daily mass as long as he was able to drive.

He was satisfied with the life he was given as was evident in his last conversation with family when he said he was grateful with many good years on the Harper Road and several good years at the Tignish senior home where he was given excellent care. He summarized this by saying with all these good years I can't be selfish and ask for more time. His last words "If the Lord wants me, I am ready and I am not afraid."

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Co-op, 522 Thompson Rd .

Visitation on Friday Jan 19th from 7-9 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am until time of funeral.

Funeral Saturday Jan 20.2024 at 11am. at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Rd.

Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers donations to the West Prince caring cupboard would be greatly appreciated.
