Leonard D. Bernard

The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O’Leary on Saturday May 15, 2021 of Leonard D. Bernard, St. Edward aged 85 years.

Beloved husband of Winnifred (Arsenault) Bernard,

He was born in Seven Miles Bay on March 24, 1936, the son of the late Sosime and Agnes (Perry) Bernard.

Dear father to Donna Allain (David), Lorna Rennie (Elmer), Gladys Warren (Monty), Kent Bernard (Connie), Floyd Bernard (Cindy), Kim Bernard (John) and a son-in-law Glen Rennie.

Loving grandfather to Corry, Rodney & Bobby Allain, Scott & Jennica Warren, Ashley & Justin Bernard, Devin McNeil, Kayla Smith, April McInnis, Samantha Belliveau, Shelly, Lynn, Tyler and Dylan, great grandfather to 27 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by brothers and sisters Gladys Leighton, Cyril Bernard (Ida), Lionel Bernard (Edna), Ivan Bernard (Blanche), Sharon Murray (Gary) and sister-in-law Lila Bernard.

He was predeceased by parents Sosime and Agnes, sister Delia, Emma, brothers Frank, Ben, brothers-in-law George Chaisson, Francis Rush and Harvey Leighton, granddaughter Marsha Laney, grandson Noah McInnis.

Resting at West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road. Private funeral for family and invited guests will be held Tuesday May 18, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 10:30 a.m.
