Leonard Aylward

The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Thursday July 6, 2006 of Leonard Aylward of Tignish aged 72 years. He was born Nov. 7, 1933 to the late Austin and Alma (Donahue) Aylward. Dear father to Jackie Aylward (Ron Sigurdur), Whitecourt, Alberta and Robin Mills, Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law Glenda Aylward, Palmer Road. Brother of Jean Blanchard, Charlottrtown; Austie (Theresa) Leoville; Noreen (Barry) Shead, Ontario; Phyllis (Freddie) Shea, Palmer Road; Mary Ellen (Ted) Hinks, Ontario; Florence (Leo) Malone, Ontario; Lois (David) Harper, Tignish; Carol Keough, Ontario; Betty (Gerard) Ready, Pleasant View; Joey (Peggy), Pleasant View; Wayne (Annette), Pleasant View; David (Marlene), Pleasant View and Donna (John) Tomiuck, Ontario. Loving grandfather to Lindsay and Malerie Aylward, Jesse (Jason) Pepper, Sarah and Kyle Mills and great grandfather to Logan and Austin Pepper. He was predeceased by his parents Austin and Alma and sons Robert and Darrel. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visitation Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Saturday with funeral mass at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish at 10:30 am. Memorial donations to the PEI Lung Association or The Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
