Kenneth Benvie Abbott

The death occurred peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday September 12, 2026 of Kenneth B. Abbott of Summerside, formally Palmer Rd. Ken was born June 1 1941 in Bonavista, Newfoundland to the late Harold and Mariah Abbott.

Lovingly remembered by his wife Marie (Handrahan) Abbott, sister Marie Linthorne and niece Krista (Tom) and great nephew Matthew. Also survived by his step-sisters Edith and Eileen, sister-in-law Isabel Coyne and brother-in-law Henry Handrahan Jr. and rememberedby his extended family members

Predeceased by his parents Harold and Mariah Abbott , step-mother Elizabeth Hobbs andbrothers-in-law Doug, Albert and Bernard.

Ken liked to play the guitar and sing and always loved a good joke.

Resting at West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Rd, St.Louis PE. There will be no visitation by personal request.

There will be a grave side service. Saturday September 19, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Palmer Rd.

The family would like to thank everyone at the Prince County Hospital, especially the ICU unit.
