Joseph J. Gallant

The death occurred surrounded by family on Tuesday October 20, 2015 at the Community Hospital, O’Leary of Joseph J. Gallant of Forest View, O’Leary aged 74 years.

Beloved husband of Barbara Gallant, O’Leary.

He was born in St. Edward on October 15, 1941, the son of the late Joseph Ben and Mary Anne (Chaisson) Gallant.

Dear father to Marie, Joey (Diana), Bonnie (Glen) Harper, Barry (Tina); Darren (Shari) ; Darla; Davis (Kortney) and Derek (Jessica).

Loving grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by brothers and sisters Audrey (Allan) Arsenault; Edlow (Alice) Gallant; Gerard (Bernadette) Gallant; Emile (Cathy) Gallant; Julie (Abby) Avender and Johnny Gallant.

He was predeceased by parents Joseph and Mary Anne, sisters Evelyn, May and 3 infants in infancy, niece and nephews J J Gallant, Paul Whalen, Frank Koughan and Lorna Gallant. mother and father-in-law Henry and Rose Gallant.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road for visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Funeral will be held Saturday October 24, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Parish, Bloomfield where funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m.

Interment in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations to St Anthony’s Cemetery Fund or Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
