John "Leo" J. Ellsworth

It is with great sorrow that the family of John "Leo" Ellsworth announces his sudden yet peaceful passing on Nov. 8th, 2011.

John "Leo" was born April 17, 1925, the son of the late Thomas and MaryAnn (nee Bernard) Ellsworth.

He was a loving husband of Dora Ellsworth (nee Gaudet) and dear father to Patrick Ellsworth, Ontario; Ron (Trudy) Ellsworth, Alberta; Lloyd (Norma) Ellsworth, Trainor Road; Cecelia (Joe) McRae, Merigomish, N.S.; Bernice Ellsworth, Elmsdale; Angela Ellsworth, Miminegash; Darlene Gaudet, Tignish; Claudia (Francis) Gaudet, St. Edward; Richard Ellsworth, Alberta; Bernie Ellsworth, Miminegash; Nancy Ellsworth, Trainor Road; Jacinta (Ralph) Getson, O'Leary; Janice Costello, Alaska, PE and Vicki (Darrell) Graham, Alberton.

Cherished grandfather to 23 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister Evelyn Mallett of Alberton numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Ann,a son and daughter in infancy Carl and Mona, sisters Ellen, May, Catherine, brothers Vincent, Edwin, Leroy, Richard, Tommy and in-laws Wilfred and Eva Gaudet.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Thursday 7 - 9 pm, Friday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

Funeral will be held Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 11 am. Interment in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Rev. W J Phillips Residence Fund, Alberton would be greatly appreciated.
