John Joseph "Jackie" DesRoches

The death occurred peacefully at his home in Tignish with his family by his side, June 3, 2022, of John Joseph “Jackie” DesRoches of Tignish, aged 82 years. Beloved husband to Mary Emma DesRoches. Born in Tignish on November 19, 1939, he was the son of the late Peter J. and Delima M. (nee Bernard) DesRoches of Tignish.

Loving father to Gary, Toronto, ON, Judy (Charlie) MacDonald, Monticello, Lisa (Paul) Doucette, Waterford and Lori Ann DesRoches, Phoenix, AZ. Cherished grandfather to Al, Cody, Nicholas, Kyle, Carissa, Caeman, Sadie, Sarah, Hannah, Madeline, Jacqueline, Jacob and Emma. Dear brother to Alfred DesRoches, Tignish, Donnie DesRoches, Tignish, Aldona Hall, Connecticut, Mar Gavin, London, ON, Joseph DesRoches, Summerside, Sonny DesRoches, Summerside and Bobby, North Bay, ON.

He was predeceased by his dear sisters Catherine Lariviere and Donna DesRoches, cherished brother Kevin DesRoches

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road for visiting hours Sunday June 5th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral will be held Monday June 6th from St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish for funeral Mass at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Gregory Conway, Celebrant.

Followed by interment in the church cemetery.
