Jerry J. Pitre

The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Friday March 23, 2007 of Jerry J. Pitre of the Tignish Seniors Home Care Co-op and formerly of St. Felix. Beloved husband of Mary Pitre of Tignish. He was born in Tignish Shore on May 29, 1912, son of the late Joe and Mary Pitre (Perry). Father of Lloyd, Tignish, Bertha (Dennis) Pitre, St. Felix, Emily (Vernon) Chowen, Charlottetown, Cycil (Doreen), Charlottetown, Oswald, Bloomfield, Theresa (fiance Maurice), Charlottetown, Emile (Helene), Tignish Shore, Angela, St. Felix, Joe, Charlottetown, Shirley (Seymour) DesRoches, St. Felix, Francis (Nicole) St. Felix, Barbara (fiance Dale), St. Felix. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Mary, brother Frank, sisters Rosie, Barbara, Emma, Angeline, Winnie, Fidelis, and Mae, daughters Theresa and Emma and a grandson Adam. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Monday at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish at 2 pm. Memorial donations to the Tignish Seniors Home Care Co-op would be greatly appreciated.
