The death occurred peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Center, Charlottetown on November 21, 2017 of Jean M. Richard, Charlottetown aged 62 years.
She was born in Harper Road on October 30, 1955, the daughter of Annie (Bernard) DesRoches, Tignish Senior Home Co-op and the late Alcide Richard.
She is survived by common-law partner Newman McCullough.
Dear sister to Everett (Celina) Richard, Summerside and Angela (Cyril) LeClair, St Felix, step-sister to Doreen (Armand), Dennis, Aubrey (Isabelle), Eric (Bernadine), Leona (Bernard), Joyce (Gordon), Lloyd (late Lori), Anita (Ulyse) and Edgar (Mary).
She is also survived by brother and sisters-in-law Carl, Cathy, Colleen; nephew Daniel Richard; niece Debra Atkinson; many cousins and friends and special furry friend Buskie.
She was predeceased by father Alcide, step-father Arthur E. DesRoches, brothers Valmore, Wilbert and Edward, sister-in-law Rose, step-brothers Jerry and Cecil.
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road.
No visitation as a personal request.
Funeral will be held Friday November 24, 2017 at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 11 AM. Celebrant Rev. Brandon Gallant.
Memorial donations to Provincial Palliative Care Unit or Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
