JAMES WILBERT DOUCETTE

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jimmie at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary on November 24, 2022.

After 52 years of trucking, he has gone to receive his golden wheels.

Born in 1946 along with his twin Jean to Clovis and Helen Doucette, Palmer Road.

The loss of his jovial and pleasant manner will be felt by his many fellow truckers and friends.

He leaves to mourn his many brothers and sisters who will miss his jokes, crib games and biscuits … Edward (Bea), twin Jean, Vincent, Theresa, (Wally), David (Terry), Irene (Bruce), Carol Ann (Leon), Rita Anne, Mary, Martha (Michael), Paul (Sherri) and special sister Debra (Bob).

A great emptiness will be felt by his many nieces and nephews … ( he called many of them George when he couldn’t remember their names) especially nieces Brenda and Susan who cared for him on the last part of his earthly journey.

Predeceased by parents Clovis and Helen, brothers Victor and Phillip in infancy, in-laws Freda, Elaine, Rik, Grace, Christine, Buddy and Simon.

Family is very grateful to the care received in Moncton and O’Leary Hospitals.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road. Visiting hours Sunday afternoon 1-4 pm. Funeral mass will be held Monday Nov. 28, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 10:30 am.

Interment will take place later in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations to West Prince Caring Cupboard would be greatly appreciated.
