The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Sunday January 6, 2013 of Gordon Costain of Cape Gage Road aged 80 years. Beloved husband of the late Agnes (Gaudet) Costain.

He was born in Roseville on March 14, 1932, the son of the late Donald and Rose (Jones) Costain.

Cherished father to Leonard, Kensington, Christine (Leigh) Perry, Pleasant View, Rose Arsenault, Bloomfield; Ernest (Theresa), Forest View; Sandra (Jerry) Gallant, Pleasant View and Stephen (Diane), Ottawa, Ont.

Loving grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters Wendell (Verna), Phyllis (Connie) Pineau, Eileen (Bob) Bourne, Vivian (Bill) Cree, Charlene (Earl) Hooey, Roma Malto, Orlie (Doreen), Sylvia (Bennie) MacPhee, Freda (Cecil) Banks, Russell (Charlene), Mary (Ronnie) Shea, Audrey (Austie) Shea, Noella (Claude) Shea, Connie (Patsy), Cheryl (Lyle) Costain and sister-in-law Nadyne Costain.

He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Edward, Edna (Wilbert), Alice (Douglas), Alvina (Julian), Helen (Urban), Marie (Frank) and Sylvia.

He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Rose, wife Agnes, sisters Lillian and Wanda, brother Donald, father and mother-in-law Wilfred and Eva Gaudet, son-in-law Milton Arsenault, great grandson Carter Gallant, brothers and sisters-in-law Bernie Latimer, Dick Rice, Dora & Leo Ellsworth and Edmond Gaudet.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9-10 a.m. Funeral will be held Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 10:30 a.m. with celebrant Rev. Jacques Rigaud.

Memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch #27, Bloomfield will hold a service of remembrance Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m.
