Gerard P. Ready

Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary on Saturday December 26, 2020 surrounded by family, of Gerard P. Ready, Pleasant View aged 73 years.

Loving husband of 52 years to Elizabeth (Betty) Ready nee Aylward.

He was born in Tignish on March 28, 1947, the son of the late Lloyd and Jean (Morrissey) Ready.

Dear brother to Paul, Wilbert, Billy, Freddy, Nora, Francie, Myra Hum (Tom), Edward & Ebby (deceased) and Alan (deceased).

He is also survived by the family of the late Austin & Alma Aylward, Jean Blanchard (Elmer deceased), Noreen (deceased) Barry Shead, Phyllis Shea (Fred), Mary Ellen Hinks (deceased) brother-in-law Ted (Jeannie) Hinks, Florence Malone (Leo), Lois Harper (David deceased), Carol Keough, Donna Tomuick (John deceased), Robin Aylward, Austie Aylward (Theresa), Leonard (deceased), Joey Aylward (Peggy deceased), Wayne Aylward (Nettie), David Aylward (Marlene), special niece Patsy Gaudet and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road. A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home for family and invited guests.

Interment in the church cemetery.
