Dora Kenny

The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Friday, April 28, 2006 of Dora Kenny of Tignish and formerly of Waterford aged 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Edward Kenny. She was born on May 28, 1914 to the late Marcisse and Eleanor (Poirier) Myers. Dear mother of Claire (Bob) Groombridge, Thunder Bay, Ont.; Patrick, Tignish; Terrance (Gladys), Waterford; June Watterson, Tignish; John (Ruth), Montrose; Joe (Shirley), Tignish; Barbara (Stewart) MacRae, Point Prim; Philip (Wilhelmina), Alberton and Jean (David) Willcock, Palmer Road. Loving grandmother of 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Emma Barry, Chatham, N.B.. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, eldest son Richard, grandson Daniel Kenny, daughter-in-law Joyce Kenny, sons-in-law Ernie Watterson and Gerald O'Bright, a sister Clara Cobham and a brother Calais Myers. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Monday 1-2:30 pm. Funeral Monday with funeral mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 3 pm. Memorial donations to the Western Hospital Equipment Fund or the Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
