Denzil "Wayne" Campbell

The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside, on Aug 9th 2024 of Denzil "Wayne" Campbell of O'Leary aged 69.

He was predeceased by his Mother Shirley Louise Campbell. (Brother) Harold (Rache) Campbell. (Nephews) William Barlow and Kenneth Gillis. (Nieces) Shelly Gillis, Annie Olive Barlow, Cindy Fletcher.

BROTHER TO: Gail (Campbell) Meunier. Faye (Bill) Campbell. Russell (Suzanne) Campbell. Rushell (Daryl) MacDonald Arnold McDougall and Linda Duskey

UNCLE TO: Louise, Kyle, Curtis, Ryan, Lily, Danielle, Martin, Tabitha. Loved by many great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born on January 31, 1955, Wayne was a familiar face in his community, a devoted computer enthusiast and avid reader.

He could often be found immersed in a book or engrossed in a classic Western or Sci-Fi movie.

His love for literature and cinema brought him great joy throughout his life.

Wayne had a natural talent for fixing computers and writing binary code.

His prowess in the world of technology was unmatched, and he spent countless hours at home, either on his own computer or helping others troubleshoot and repair theirs.

He truly found fulfillment in assisting others with their technological challenges.

When not tinkering with computers, Wayne enjoyed indulging in his favorite treats.

A steaming cup of Tim's coffee or tea and some delicious molasses cookies would always bring a smile to his face. He was a quiet man, but when he spoke to you, it was with wisdom, love and respect.

He loved the world of tech and sci-fi. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522Thompson Rd.

Visitation will be Tuesday Aug 13th from 6 - 9pm

Interment will take place at the Brae United Church Cemetery at a later date where the family will have a private service.

Donations can be made to the PEI Institute of the Blind, or Margaret Stewart Ellis Home.
