Dennis J. McCormick

The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Sunday, January 25, 2009 of Dennis J. McCormick, Charlottetown age 73 years husband of Elaine (Wedge) McCormick. He was born May 31, 1935 son of the late Herb and Alice (Gallant) McCormick. Dear father to Alan (Sheri), Colleen (Brian) Gallant, Blaine (Darlene), and Laura Lee (Farris) Tawil. Loving grandfather of Heidi, Kristen, Mitchell, Matt McCormick, Vanessa Handrahan, Andrea, Matthew, and Mike Cameron, Crystal and Chastity Gallant and great grandfather of Makayla Arsenault. He is also survived by his mother in law, Jane Wedge, brothers Wayne (Lena) Brown, Frank (Eileen) Brown, Merina Blanchard, Letha (Claude) Perry, Lorraine (Bernie) Gallant, and brothers in law David (Rosie) Wedge, Junior (Jane) Wedge, and sisters in law Linda (Stephen) McCue and Beverley (Roland) Gaudet. He was predeceased by his parents Herb and Alice, son Herb, step father Ferdinand Brown, father in law Clarence Wedge, and brother in law Leo Blanchard. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home Palmer Road for visiting hours Wednesday 7 to 9 and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Friday, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to Camp Genchef would be greatly appreciated.
