Chris P. Doyle

It is with sadness that family note the passing of Chris on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 in Prince Edward Island, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 27, 1970 in Saint John, New Brunswick, he was the much loved son of Paul and Elizabeth (Calnan) Doyle. Chris graduated from St. Malachy's High School in 1988 and Olton's Business College, Moncton. He had an all consuming passion for sports and was a die hard fan of the "Montreal Canadians". He was a free spirit and enjoyed each day, as if it were his last. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Heather of Thunder Bay, Ontario and his many friends in Saint John and Alberta. Uncles Mark (Lorraine), Thornhill, Ontario, Rae (Shirley), Summerside, PE, Donald (Kitty), Campbellton, PE, Harold (Ellen), Fenton, Ontario; aunts Betty Bruce (Robert) , Mahone Bay, N.S., Eileen Stewart (Kaye) , Charlottetown, PE, Joan Doyle, Charlottetown, Mary Calnan, Saint John, N.B. and many cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Joseph & Elizabeth Calnan, his paternal grandparents Harold & Myrtle Doyle, uncle Gerald Calnan, aunts Eleanore Hillier and Margaret Kibbee. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, PEI with funeral mass to be held on Friday 1:00 pm at St. Mark's Church, Burton, PEI. Visiting hours on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm and Friday from 11 am to 12:15 pm. Interment in St. Mark's Cemetery. Remembrances can be made to the Oncology Department, Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PE or St. Mark's Cemetery Fund.
