Cathy Mary Corrigan

The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Saturday, March 15, of Cathy Mary Corrigan-Wells of Alberton, formerly of Deblois, aged 59.

Left to mourn is her devoted husband, Eldon Wells.

Cathy was the beloved daughter of the late Wilfred (Freddie) and Geraldine (Gallien) Gaudet of Leoville.

She will be forever remembered and cherished by her children: son Nick (Melissa) Corrigan and daughter Vanessa (Malcolm) Richard. Cathy will be deeply missed by her treasured grandchildren, Cade and Lily Corrigan, Dawson (Kloe) Richard, and her beloved fur-grandbaby, Abby.

She is lovingly remembered by her brothers Paul (Judy), Carl, and Floyd (Marie), and predeceased by her brother Wayne and her parents Wilfred (Freddie) and Geraldine (Gallien).

Also left with fond memories are her in-laws: Brenda (Pat) Doucette, Donna (Kenneth) Poirier, David (Mariah) Wells, John (Ester) Wells, Kenny (Tammy) Wells, Floyd Wells, and Elva O'Meara, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Cathy was a longtime, dedicated member of the West Prince Funeral Home Team, and had recently retired from her role as cook at École Pierre-Chiasson in Deblois. Her kind, selfless nature was felt by all who knew her, especially the students she served daily, who loved and admired her deeply. Cathy also devoted much of her life to her faith and community as a longtime member of the Palmer Road CWL.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Blais and the staff at the Palliative Care Unit, Community Hospital, O'Leary, for the compassionate care Cathy received.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday, March 18th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with Father Jacques Rigaud presiding.

Internment will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations in Cathy’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Community Hospital, O'Leary.
