Catherine "Kitty" Mary Doyle
August 22, 2026

Born into the city lights of Charlottetown on February 7,1938 to Leo and Mabel Duffy, Catherine (Kitty) Duffy joined a humble and proud family who were loyal to each other and worked hard to be as self-sufficient as possible. She was an unwavering example of being content with what she had and had little interest in gaining any worldly wealth or recognition for her accomplishments. She asked for very little for herself but gave abundantly in time and attention to her family. She was a resourceful woman who did whatever she could to provide for her children and keep them safe from harm while putting her own needs aside.
She passed away on August 22nd, 2026, faithful to the Lord she loved and trusting completely in His plan for her. She accepted her diagnosis of cancer as she did with all trials; bravely and quietly. Her death was painful and complicated by dementia. Day by day she slipped away until she could no longer eat, drink or rest peacefully. Still, in those moments of pain she quietly accepted her path.
She married Donnie Doyle in 1960 and moved to the country where she had to adjust to a new way of life. She was shocked by the dark nights in the country and cried many times missing the lights of Euston street where she had lived. Through many trials and tribulations she grew to love country living and made friends and met neighbors who made her feel at home.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donnie and her daughters, Mary, Theresa John), Beth, Maureen (Chris), and Leah. Her grandchildren, Breanna (Rob), Mark, Kathleen (Jake), Laura (Dylan) and Emma (Cody). Her great-grandchildren Shae, Myles, Casey, Heidi, and Callen and her sisters Francis Baker and Gerry Martin. Her brother and sisters in law Harold and Ellen Doyle, Bob and Betty Bruce, Joan Doyle, Eileen and Kaye Stewart, Sylvia Duffy, Shirley Doyle, Liz Doyle.
