The death occurred suddenly at Thompson Road on Thursday June 24, 2021 of Austin J. Bernard of Thompson Road aged 77 years.
He was born in DeBlois on August 4, 1943, the son of the late Bazil and Fidelis (Arsenault) Bernard.
Dear father to Francyne Doiron (Peter), Stratford, Tina McInnis (Grant), Summerside.
Loving grandfather to Brady & Hannah Doiron and Keegan & Emma McInnis.
He is also survived by siblings Barb (Moe), Velda (Ted), Delia, Del, Leona, Vincent (Sheila) and a sister-in-law Steveann.
He was predeceased by parents Bazil and Fidelis, brothers Melvin, Willie, Raymond, Leonard, sister Mae, sister-in-law Theresa, brothers-in-law William, Bernie, Donnie, Peter, Theresa Lawlor, mother of the children, in-laws Jackie & Peggy Lawlor, Elizabeth & Manuel Dacruz.
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home 522 Thompson Road. Private visitation for family and invited guests only. Funeral for family and invited guests will be held Wednesday June 30, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 2 p.m.
Memorial donations to the West Prince Caring Cupboard would be greatly appreciated.
Interment in the church cemetery.
