Peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton on Friday April 30, 2021 of Annie “Ethel” Monaghan formerly of Montreal aged 84 years.
Beloved wife of 47 years to the late Leo Monaghan.
She was born in Norway on May 15, 1936, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Irene (Harper) Keough.
Dear mother to Steven (Katherine), Sherry (James), Paddy (Ochie), Kelly (Lyn) and Sharon (Pat).
Loving grandmother to Shane, Jamie, Phillip, Amanda, Maria, David, Leo, Stewart, Jason, Kyle, Andrew, Caitlyn, Connor, Brea-Ann and Caileigh and 11 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by brothers and sisters Hilda, Winston (Elaine), John, Clare, Karen (Bob), also survived by sister-in-law Helen Keough and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by parents Wilbert and Irene, brothers Ralph, Ray, Arnold, sister Rosie, mother-in-law Dorothy (Hollis), brothers and sister-in-law Bennett Keefe, Joe (Gracie) Monaghan, Bobby (Helen) Monaghan, Dougie (Al) Monaghan, Sis (Norman Holmes).
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road. Visiting hours for family and invited guest only. Funeral will be held Monday May 3, 2021 at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 3 p.m.
The family would like to thank all the Staff from Maplewood Manor and most especially the love and care their mother received by the Staff in Farm Brook Lane.
Interment at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery at a later date.
