Being the matriarch of her family, she always made sure everyone felt cared for, and special.
After Anne met her late husband, Frank, they were stationed in France with the Airforce and travelled throughout Europe; both having seen and been to historical places where together, they gathered many memories and stories. Anne’s favourite place was Germany.
After returning from Europe, they lived in Summerside and then eventually settled in Dartmouth where they raised their three boys. The door to her home was always open, where many family members visited as well as several extended stays when needed. Anne cooked many meals for family and if you were lucky, you were the recipient of a piece of her delicious lemon meringue pie. Anne also had a love for gardening back in the day, caring after her roses, lilacs and peonies to name a few.
She loved coming home to “The Island”, and spending time with family. She loved dancing with her family and catching up with family. PEI, “down home”, was always her favourite place to be.
A devoted Catholic, Anne was a past member of Saint Vincent de Paul parish and a current member of the Saint John XXIII Catholic Church in Cole Harbour. She served as a Greeter, Eucharistic Minister, and was a member of the Prayer Group. She attended the ALPHA program and served as a Eucharistic Minister Hospital Volunteer.
We are so proud to call her ours, and we take such comfort in knowing that she impacted the lives of her family so positively. Our love for her will never die, the most special, unbreakable bond. She was incredibly loved by her family. The most amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, auntie, grandmother, and friend. We will miss her every day for the rest of our lives.
In her final moments, she told her family to stay close and stay happy.
Thank you for loving our incredible Anne.
