Aldine Poirier

The death occurred at home in Tignish on Saturday, December 3, 2005 0f Aldine Poirier of Tignish and formerly of St. Edward aged 93 years. Wife of the late Joseph Leffie Perry (Poirier). She was born on June 23, 1912 to Joseph and Margaret (Gaudet) Chaisson. Dear mother of Nelson (Helen) Perry, St. Edward; Ellen (Paul) Deveaux, Tignish; Sr. Theresa Perry, Tignish; Alphy (Betty) Perry, St. Edward; Rita Poirier, Stratford; Alice (Willard) Mokler, St. Louis; Anita (Bruce) Arsenault, Tignish; Jenny (Allan) MacDougall, Summerside; Maurice (Kathleen) Poirier, Cascumpec and a special nephew Alphy Chaisson of Moose Jaw, Sask.. Loving grandmother of 29 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Sister of Josie (Kenny) McDermid, Charlottetown, Mary Ann Gallant, Maplewood Manor, Alberton; Leo Chaisson, St. Edward and Emile (Rena) Chaisson, St Edward and sister-in-law of Susie Chaisson, St Edward. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeased by her husband Leffie, daughters Anna May Perry and Esther Finkle, son-in-law Gordon Finkle and great-grandson Daniel Barrett. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visitation Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Funeral Tuesday with funeral mass at the Immaculate Conception Church at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
