June 29, 2018

The death occurred surrounded by family and friends at the Western Hospital, Alberton on June 29, 2018 of Adrian B. Doucette, Ebbsfleet aged 83 years.
Beloved husband of Shirley Doucette (nee Peters).
Adrian was born in Ebbsfleet on October 18, 1934, son of the late Joseph H. and Lucille (nee Pineau) Doucette.
Beloved brother of Esther (Richard), Florida, Thelma Tignish, Frances, Brockton, Mass. and several nieces and nephews.
Adrian was predeceased by his sisters Rosalyn (Robert) Peters, brother Robert (Shirley) Doucette, sister Anita (Jack) Barrett, brother Frederick, brothers-in-law Bernard Allain, Raymond Perry, Robert Peters and Jack Barrett, sister-in-law Shirley Doucette.
Adrian spent his early life working on the farm with his mother and father and continued to take care of the property until he became ill. At a very young age he joined the U.S. Marines, something he worked so diligently at and was so proud of. Later, after his life working in the U.S. as a skilled carpenter he returned home to take care of his mom and dad and, at that time, spent several years fishing.
Adrian was a very hard worker and an honest man who treated everyone fairly.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the Federal Dept. of Fisheries as an Inspection Officer, a job he so enjoyed.
Adrian and his devoted wife, Shirley, worked side by side during their 50 years of marriage. They so enjoyed each other company and always cherished their trips to Halifax to visit her family. They thought the world of Adrian.
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road. No visitation as a personal request. A family mass and burial to take place at a later date.
